Make Money with Google Adsense

If you’ve ever heard anyone writing or talking about “making money with Google,” you’ve probably wondered what they were talking about.

I mean…isn’t Google making money by people paying to advertise? And if that’s the case, how do people actually get paid by Google?

Good question!

Google has an advertising program called Adwords. And in the Adwords program, you as an advertiser would have your ads show up in Google’s Search Results for keywords that you’ve selected.

And you’d pay Google each time someone clicked on your ads.

As an advertiser, in addition to your ad showing up in Google’s search results (what they call “Search Network Advertising”), you can also have your ad show up on other people’s websites — sites that you pick, or that have content that is related to what you are advertising. Google calls this their “Content Network.”

So why would you, as a website owner, want ads for other websites running on their own website?

Because Google will pay you for the privilege!

Here’s how it works.

Let’s say an advertiser wants to advertise his “How to grow big tomatoes” ebook on Google’s Search Network. He might pay Google 10 cents for everyone who clicks on his ad and goes to his site.

Well, the advertiser might also pay the same 10 cents a click to advertise on the Content Network. Let’s say you own a Gardening website, and the Tomato ad appears on your site. Each time someone clicks on that ad, the advertiser will pay his ten cents — and you’ll earn a percentage of that dime.

No one knows the exact amount, but if it’s about half, you’d be earning a nickel each time someone clicks that 10 cent ad.

It might not seem like much, but if you have a lot of content on your site, and you get a lot of traffic to your site, then these nickels can add up.

And there are some topics where the clicks cost a dollar, five dollars, or more.

With thousands of clicks a day or week, it’s not hard to imagine how some websites can earn hundreds or thousands of dollars every month, week, or even day.

If you know very little about marketing, but like to write, then creating websites full of content about topics you know something about and putting Adsense ads on your site can be a great way to earn the money you’re looking for online.

To Your Success,
