Is Google Adwords for You?

If you’re interested in getting a LOT of traffic to your website, for as little as a Penny a visitor, then look no further than Google Adwords.

Adwords is Google’s “pay per click” system. Pay Per Click means that you’ll get traffic, for a fee. But you’ll only pay the fee when Google sends you a visitor.

And they’ll never charge you more than you let them.

In other words, YOU get to decide how much you want to pay for each visitor.

That’s right. Google (and other PPC networks) let you buy traffic at any price you specify. And you can buy as much or as little as you want.

Well, that’s mostly true.

Because while you can set your maximum price for each visitor, and the total amount of money you want to spend each day, week or month, you are also competing with other advertisers who also want the same traffic.

So, if you bid too low, you might not get much traffic.

On the other hand, you might end up with a flood!

If you look at any search results page on Google, you’ll typically see the main results on the left side of the page, extending about three-fourths across the page. Those are the “organic” listings. They’re also called the “natural” search engine listings, or free listings.

They’re free because it’s Google who decides which pages are most relevant to a particular search term. Website owners compete to make their pages and sites more relevant than their competitors’ sites.

On the right side, in the narrower column, are little 4-line listings. There’s a headline, two lines of ad copy, and a link. Those are advertisements, and are part of Google’s Adwords program.

You can write your own ads, choose your keywords, and be advertising 15 minutes from now, if you know what you’re doing.

And it’s an extremely fast way to get high quality, targeted traffic to almost any website.
