Keeping Your Focus As An Affiliate
When you’re just starting out in your affiliate marketing career, there’s a good chance you’ve been exposed to two, three, or maybe over a dozen different ways to make money online.
So let’s say you decide you’re going to be an affiliate.
What should you promote?
Should you promote that great Weight Loss program?
How about the Free Ipod CPA offer?
Or maybe it’s that hot selling ebook you found on Clickbank.
One very big problem that new internet marketers come across is that question of what to promote.
But I’m not going to answer that question. I can’t tell you what product to promote any more than I should be telling you what to have for dinner tonight.
But what I can tell you is to have just one dinner.
And not ten.
You see, one of the biggest problems that new marketers have is that every opportunity looks like a great opportunity. Every offer looks like THE offer that will finally make you the big bucks. And they all look too good to pass up.
I’ve suffered from this problem, and still do. That’s why I know it so very well.
The more you can concentrate on one project at a time, one affiliate offer at a time, and one new thing to learn at a time, the more successful you will be.
Too many new marketers will try to hedge their bets by doing too many things at once. But that’s the most certain way to make sure you lose.
My grandmother used to say “You can’t be at two weddings with one tush.” And some other relative of mine — I can’t remember who — used to say that “You can’t ride two horses with one ass.”
What that means is that you’ve got to make a choice. Do one thing or the other, but don’t try to do both.
Focus: It’s the key to success.
